The "Flight Time" application offers an automated, GPS-based logbook solution tailored for pilots. It accurately records block time, true flight time, and landings while providing real-time display of elapsed times and ground speed during flights.

This tool aims to streamline the in-flight recording process, alleviating the need for manual note-taking of take-off and landing times. Leveraging GPS technology, the app automatically registers key flight events with minimal user intervention.

To utilize the features effectively, users simply input their aircraft's stall speed to enable the app to differentiate between aircraft types, such as a Citabria versus an F-16. Prior to departure, activating GPS ensures accurate data collection. At the airport, users can tap on the parked aircraft icon to review all necessary information for completing their logbook. While marking the aircraft as parked is optional, it is essential before moving away from the aircraft to ensure correct calculation of blocks-on and blocks-off times.

• Hobbs (engine run time) typically exceeds block time, as it accounts for engine operation regardless of aircraft movement.
• Background GPS usage can significantly impact battery life, potentially reducing operational duration to approximately half a day on older devices.
